  9. Lerpe says:

My brother had a building project proposal in Makati. But it never materialized. The reason? Somebody in the office of the Mayor (Binay) wants to increase the bid so they could have a “take back”.
It may not be Binay himself but it’s under his command responsibility.

  10. lizzie says:

    @joseph
kung hindi ka rin isa’t kalahating
    gung-gong!!!
magsama kayo ng corrupt at hitler mong
    kandidato…
    FYI
    HINDI AKO TAGA MAKATI….
    T@NGa!!!!!

  11. spoklong says:

si binay? i used to idolize this guy back when he was fighting against the corrupt practices of the marcoses. pero ngayon, he’s just following the same footsteps of that very person he fought against. makati is toooooooooooooooo much of a good thing to give up kanya nga he held on to it for over “20″ years!

  12. FPJ says:

He has always claimed that the success of Makati was because of him. Why not give the credit where it is really due like the Ayalas for really developing Makati from the very beginning and the businessmen who trust the Ayalas and not the Binays to have their business in Makati.

Go to outskirts of Makati, and see what Makati looks like under Binay. Remember Makati Central Business District is not the whole of Makati.

Of course, people in the outskirts will praise him because of his hand outs. His handouts are portrayed as being from him and not from the taxes of the businessme. Php 100.00 to 100 people is Php 10,000 every few days let us say 15 days is Php 150,000/month where does he get this money. So am guessing, for every Php 100, he gets Php 1000 pesos so for every Php 150,000/month he gives out he takes in Php 1,500,000/month. For somebody whose livelihood is being a government employee he seems to be very rich. How?

  24. mike says:

oh yes want to add; same formula with other cities in manila. COME ondoy example taytay. Sabi ng LLDA wag magbabahay doon at parang river delta ang dating sabi ng mayor Okay lang. COME ondoy lunod ang mga bahay proper planning ba yan. Stop voting for politicians who even cannot ensure protection of their subordinates.

  25. Joe says:

Ikaw mike, san ka nakatira? In a well developed and managed city like Makati? Feeling ko ignoranteng skwater ka lang eh. Pag ang isang skwater na tulad mo ay pinaalis sa isang lugar, may papalit na tatlong skwater sa lugar mo. That’s how the Philippines works. It’s made up of skwaters that are too lazy to find jobs so they end up gambling and drinking their lives away. And there are also those who strive but simply can not find the opportunity to get a break. Ikaw naman, kasali ka dun sa mga ignoranteng skwater.

  29. Joe says:

Eh sino bang politician hindi malupit mangurakot ha?? Lahat naman ng politician at one time or another, nagnakaw at nangurakot. At least si Binay, nakakagawa pa din ng mabuti para sa Makati. It’s wrong that he steals, but the fact that he is able to and has accomplished so much as Makati’s mayor just goes to show why this guy deserves his spot as VP.

  30. tanya says:

  32. silver harlego says:

tanya, i agree with you. they claim that makati is a prosperous because of their leadership…but hell no! pasalamat sya nagkataon lang na mayayaman at edukadong tao ang mga businessman sa makati at nabubudburan sila ng grasya. san na napupunta ang bilyun-bilyong tax? kundi pampagawa ng bahay nilang may elevator

  33. blu says:

    @silver harlego

It’s coincidence and luck that the Ayalas decided to develop a town of the province of Rizal known for its kangkungan and marshes.

It is NOT a coincidence that Makati has prospered into a modern city under Jojo’s guidance.

His many projects: Kasanib (community program to develop livelihood – yes that’s his brainchild, Not Mercado’s)

Yellow card – (Free health care for its citizens)

Senior citizen’s many privileges – cinema anyone? It’s only in Makati that you can see an entire row of senior citizens in greenbelt 3 snoring while watching Iron man 2 in the afternoon

    I can give dozens more.

Slums are unavoidable in every city. Makati has some, yes but we can’t just make them move can we?

What city, aside from ManilaScience and Pisci can boast of public school facilities on par with private schools?

What city other than Makati can brag that her public school students are given free uniforms, bags, shoes and a complete set of books and writing implements?

Yes, Jojo and the citizens are reaping the rewards of having multinational companies based on her streets, but our mayor isn’t using that for corruption. No one’s perfect, but Binay’s a decent guy.

When Lito Atienza, GMA’s lapdog banned protests on our capital’s streets, where did we go to voice out our protests during the Dark Day’s of Gloria’s oppression?

Anyone could easily misuse the funds of Makati’s full coffers, but Binay used it rightfully for the people.

Incidentally, Makati’s elite swat team has better equipment than our AFP’s special forces, and they are trained abroad, and our search and rescue teams are second to none in the country in terms of training and equipment.

Look underneath the underneath, bitches, before you spout more filth from your narrow minded and biased minds.

Those who think Makati’s Rambotito (yes he was called that way back)isn’t competent to become VP, think again.

    - a biased Makati Citizen.

    Jojobama for VP!

    MANILA BULLETIN

    Binay overwhelmed by support
    By JC BELLO RUIZ
    May 11, 2010, 1:06pm
Vice presidential bet Makati Mayor Jejomar Binay on Tuesday, May 11, 2010, noon said he is overwhelmed that he is the leading vice presidential bet based on the latest official tally of votes of the Commision on Elections.
“Of course I’m humbled. Gusto kong magpaabot ng sincere thanks sa pagkakataong maglingkod,” Binay said.
Binay said even his family didn’t believe that he would win the vice presidential race with a 3 percent survey rating at the start of the campaign.
But he didn’t lose hope, he said.
“I’m going to win I tell you,” Binay said chuckling.
Though still feeling tense over the still to be finished tally of votes, Binay said if he wins he would attribute his victory to among other things: the endorsement of Senator Chiz Escudero; his experience and track record in Makati City and the help of his friends and brothers from his fraternity,

    Alpha Phi Omega.

CONGRATULATION MAYOR JOJO BINAY PANALANGIN NAMIN DININIG NG PANGINOON ASAHAN PO NAMIN ANG INYONG TAPAT NA PANUNUNG-KULAN SA LOOB NG 4 NA TAON..

    LONG LIVE PILIPINAS

  35. Joe says:

Haters will be hatin’. Mukang inggit lang naman kayong mga skwating kasi naman, Makati is the most developed city in the country not just because of the businesses and such, but also because of the leadership of Binay. So ikaw tanya at silver fag, tumahimik na lang okay?

  36. manuel roxas says:

binay for vp, pasalamat ka kay chiz escudero!! 2016 presidential election : binay, escudero at roxas , ehehe sino kaya manalo??? tatlong gung gong… sa vp nman : pangilinan, revilla or jingoy, legarda baka mag try uli ahahha… laging talunan…

  37. Robbin Chua says:

You still need to attend to makati, di ka pwede sa Bise Presidente…tangalin mo muna ang mga call centers na sumisira at umaabuso sa mga pilipinong nag nanais magkatrabaho, nag aalis ng pagkakataong makapag kolehiyo ang mga kabataan, nag bibigay ng samut saring sakit at ang abang ng delikadong oras ng pagtatrabaho ay limalaki sa halos karamihan na nag tatrabaho sa gabi…bayad ka naman ng mga businesses ng makati ano pa ba gusto mo?kaban ng bayan?

  38. blu says:

    @ Robbin Chua

Ignorant fool. We cannot generate enough jobs for the hundreds of thousands of college graduates every year.

If it weren’t for call centers, these kids wouldn’t be earning money, (having kinky sex in their cubicles), stimulating the local economy around their offices or be able to support their parents/siblings.

So they haven’t finished their degrees, what would you have them do?

    Steal?

    Whore themselves to foreigners?

They are earning an honest, decent living, leave them be.

Don’t assume, check your facts, idiot.

  39. loyallty says:

hehehehe, asan kaya si Mar Roxas ngaun, bat di sya magpakita sa tao, baka na sa MIn? mukhang gumagapang na sa BEI, pls naman Mar wag mo namang takutin mga tao dyan!!!

  40. loyallty says:

akala nyu lang mabait si Mar, eh traydor yan, kung di dahil kay Erap he will not be DTI secretary, trinaydor nya si Erap, walang loyalty ang taong yan, tapos lumipat kay GMA at nag run pa for Senate sa ticket ni GMA noong 2004 at ang pinakamgandang batas na nagawa nya, he was one of the senators who signed Ralph Recto’ Evat law… di naman isasign ni Gloria yun kung wala ung vote nya dun eh… credibela ng info na toh galing pa toh sa Inquirer at Manilla Bulletin. Mar Roxas you will not esacape, tigilan mo na ang paggigipit dyan sa Mindanao!!! nanakot kayo ni korina ng BEI grabeh kayo!!!

  41. Joe says:

    @dumb ass Robbin Chua

Call centers play a big role in the development of our country. If you really did know anything about it, you’d know it is more than just a job with good pay with a midnight shift. In case your dumb ass didn’t know, call centers are involved in this thing called Business Process Outsourcing. Now use your dumb ass to read about what BPO is.

Call centers are extremely helpful to our country especially with the growth of technology and communications. We are one of the most sought after BPO destinations in the entire planet in case your ignorant mind did not know.

And like blu said, they provide opportunities to those that need. So next time, don’t be such an ignorant smart ass.

  42. krissa says:

plss.. sa mga nanira jan kay binay, wag muna kayo magsalita ng tapos dahil bka kainin nyo ang mga masasamang pinagsa3bi nyo pag natulungan nya kayo sa oras na manalo xa.. even me i didnt expect dat he would lead in the canvassing but it just shows how intelligent FILIPONOS are to put their trust on BINAY and not to those who pushes our country down like the other candidate.. BINAY is really a hundred percent opposition and not a balimbing.!! if only CORY AQUINO is still alive, im xur that she would support BINAY rather than the running mate of his son as well as the other candidates.

BINAY,, GOD BLESSES AND SUPPORT YOU!!..

  43. EJ says:

Go binay! Panalo ka sa amin palagi!God Bless!

NOYNOY AQUINO..Yon lang PO

    Mr W

  45. observer says:

simple question needs simple answer right? ” will you vote binay for V.P?” the answer is YES… no need to flame nor comment or insults… We as Filipinos have an obligation to make this country a better place, don’t blame the leaders for committing crimes such as corruption etc… rather blame your selves for voting them in a first place, yes we have the power to change everything that’s why we have this election, it’s our responsibility to choose, stop pointing fingers who’s right or wrong… God Bless us all, and I hope you made the right choice.

  46. Avelina Dato says:

He’s one of the best for VP. And of course I want him to be with the new President Noynoy Aquino.

  48. Yuki Nagato says:

Oo naman, partner nya si Erap eh. Erap da best, tapos gibo, villar, huli si noynoy abnoy! XD

  49. blu says:

Why did I vote for Binay aside from the achievements and qualifications he had?

Simple. Because he, unlike Noy or Mar, came from the poor.

My mother knew him when he was still living in a small apartment in Makati.

I beleieve he is a perfect match to Noy’s haciendera background, to balance him out, to get him grounded.

No matter how much Noy claims that he understands us, he won’t, because he simply can’t.

His whole life, he grew up among the privileged, affluent and wealthy.

Binay, as his VP, will be there to be the ear of the normal people.

Yesterday I was browsing for books when I met a few of my mom’s acquaintances. They were all wearing jewelry, earings and necklaces in the shape of the trademark yellow ribbon.

And they were made of gold, not yellow.

I was irked when they told me they were just waiting for “One More.”

When I asked them to elaborate, they said:

“Mar of course. We didn’t vote for… that guy.”

I could feel the disgust in her voice, while her friend laughed.

That’s what I’m concerned about now, the arrogant smugness of the elite upper class that want both Noy and Mar to win.

I wanted to bash those matronas’ head together and hear their jewelry ring like bells, but I politely replied. “ah, ganun po ba. I voted for Jojo.”

I’d love to see those smug, “I’m better and richer and have breeding” matronas’ faces when a man from the masses rised to the vice presidency.

This isn’t about them, they think just because the Roxas and Aquinos are expected to win means they are better than everyone else.

Binay is here to keep them in check.
