Ralph Gonzalez Recto is a Filipino politician. Ralph Recto is married to Batangas Governor Vilma Santos-Recto, father to Ryan Christian and stepfather to Luis Philippe Manzano. Ralph Recto is an active member of Tau Gamma Phi.

Ralph Recto served as a member of the House of Representatives representing the 4th District of Batangas from 1992 to 2001. Ralph Recto was then elected to the Senate, serving from 2001 to 2007. In July 2008 Ralph Recto was appointed to head the National Economic and Development Authority, but resigned from his position in August 2009 in preparation to run for senator in the 2010 election.

    WHY EVERYBODY IS GALIT SA EVAT buti nga 12% lang kasi sa EUROPE ang EVAT nila is 18%. at this is your contribuation for better philippines at hindi na kasalan ni Ralph if ninakaw ng mga official ng governo. this is the reason we should vote for him hindi not the corrupt one dahil alam ni raplh where the funds should go.

    if you compare Europe to the Philippines is a big different… ang sabi mo hindi na kasalanan ni recto…why not?!!! alam na nyang may maraming buwaya sa ilog naglagay pa siya ng kakainin sa pampang… bkit hindi nya magiging kasalanan yun!!! hindi napapanahun ang pagdagdag ng EVAT na inihain nya sa senado noong mga panahon na yun kahit pa ngayon… dahil kakampi cya ni gloria ng mga panahon na yun…. sentido common lang kaibigan!!! si RECTo ang nagbigay ng pain na kakainin ng mga BUWAYA na nakatira sa gobyerno… bakit kailangan ko siya iboto?!!! no way! hindi nya maloloko ang taong bayan…

    Passing EVAT was a good move to help our economy. If only there were no corrupt govt officials, this might have worked and benefited us all – especially the poor. Hay!

    Should we vote for his legislative and economic know-how? Maybe. For his lack of foresight (to an obvious scenario)? Maybe not.
