Manuel “Mar” Araneta Roxas II (born May 13, 1957) is a Senator of the Philippines. Mar Roxas is the son of former Senator Gerry Roxas, and the grandson of former President Manuel Roxas.
A graduate of the Wharton School of Economics, Mar Roxas worked as an investment banker, mobilizing venture capital funds for small and medium enterprises. Mar Roxas served as the Representative of the 1st District of Capiz from 1993 to 2000. Mar Roxas stint as Congressman was cut short after he was appointed by President Joseph Estrada as Secretary of Trade and Industry. Mar Roxas resigned from the position at the height of the EDSA Revolution of 2001 and was later re-appointed by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in her new Cabinet. Mar Roxas resigned again to run for a Senate seat in the 2004 Philippine election. Mar Roxas was elected as Senator with 19 million votes, the highest ever garnered by a national candidate in any Philippine election.
A business man, former Congressman, DTI Secretary and currently serves as a Senator, will you vote for Mar Roxas for President on the upcoming Philippines national election this 2010?
ginamit ang palengke nung sya’y tumakbo ng senador ngayon naman gagamitin ang media at si korina para lang mapansin! puwede ba umaayos ayos ka!
To the honorable Senator Mar Roxas,
Dear Sir,
I SALUTE YOU, A MILLION SALUTE FOR YOU, YOU’RE A VERY NICE MAN. GOD BLESS YOU AND GOOD LUCK.
Respectfully yours,
Prima F. Abelardo

Sir, it would be better if you will be the one running for president, rather than Noynoy. I think you are more experienced than him.
I feel dissapointed when you give up
your right, just for the sake of Aquino
Family,I admire Miss Corina courrage
being there to support you as a wife.
our form of leadership,or our form of
government,is base upon “GOD”Standard.
you have what its take to be a Leader.
History is “GOD” Story, its not about
political power,people power,or Aquino
Legacy. If 90 percent of our population
dont have “GODLY” Moral Principle,or
“GODLY” Moral Responsibility 90 percent
will be corrupt.by Grace we are save
not because of our own good works,or
our own righteousnes.Hindi tayo humi-
hinga sa mundong ito nang dahil sa
ating dangal.Pride,Ego,Self Righteous,
and popularity are the greatest sin in
the Bible.the world is gonna get worse
because the world will deny “HIM”.not
unless we changes our way into “GOD”
Images. Wish you all the best.
good that he back out, otherwise pag nanalo yan, can u imagine Korina Sanches as our first lady?
i’m voting for him… as Gibo’s vice-president!
ITO NA SIGURO ANG PINAKA TRAPO SA LAHAT NG MGA PULITIKO. DAPAT DITO MAG-TRAFIK NA LANG.
I agree with Philip, that Mar should be Gibo’s vice- president

I will vote for Roxas if he run in any position of the land make it the Presidency or the VP. Though he is in tandem with Aquino right now, he must be the director of the Noynoy given that Noynoy seem to lack the awareness to adlib, nor assert himself on certain answers that needs his sudden show of his persona. As I mentioned in my other blog, Noynoy, though is accepted as a good speaker specially in english language, Mar Roxas is more aware on situations that needs his assertion of his mind and ideas. I will support Mar to whatever post he will run for.
nothing impressive done. his niche chosen was as mr.palengke. products in wet market are not affordable to the poor and continue to rise. price is not stable.
checking other aspects though…still, nothing done impressive, or that i can recall.
purely uses charisma as politician. classic. i lost respect for corina who chose to wed at the height of campaign/filing of candidacy.
Ginamit ang kasal niya para sa kampanya, hindi tinutulungan ang mga ibang public servants para umasenso. Mayabang!
Yes, Sir - but you yourself are for Noynoy, so I’ll vote for NOY-MAR!!!
mga ULOL kauung lahat!! anu bah? lahat naman nang tao ay HINDI perpekto ah,lahat nman ciguro nng mga tatakbo ngaung darating na election ay maraming ng ko-comment mapa bad or good comments , syempre dpende sa kung anu ang opinion ng tao!!kaya we have to start the changes within ourselves so that we will be able to commit what we are longing for to have in our country. kaya plzzx vote WISELY!! hmppp.. ………. : ]]
