Manuel “Manny” Bamba Villar, Jr. (born December 13, 1949) is a Filipino businessman and politician. Manuel Manny Villar is the President of the Nacionalista Party and a member of the Senate of the Philippines. Manuel Manny Villar was Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1998 to 2000—in which capacity he presided over the impeachment of President Joseph Estrada—as well as President of the Senate from 2006 to 2008.
Manuel Manny Villar assumed the Senate presidency at the beginning of the Third Regular Session of the 13th Congress, as part of a power-sharing agreement with his predecessor Sen. Franklin Drilon. On November 17, 2008, resigned due to lack of support in the Senate.
Manuel Manny Villar is recognized as the richest legislator in Philippine history where he was consistently the richest congressman from 1992 to 2001 and richest senator from 2001 until 2008 with a net worth of P1.04 billion. On the Forbes Magazine released October 2007, its list of “The Philippines’ 40 Richest”, Manuel Manny Villar is ranked 5th and the year’s biggest gainer. From $110 million last year, his net worth shot up 755% to $940 million after the public offering of his company Vista Land & Lifescapes.
A successful businessman, former Congressman from Las Pinas and a former Senate President, Will you vote for Manuel Manny Villar for President on this upcoming 2010 Philippines national election?
I will not vote for him. HE WAS, HE IS AND HE WILL CORRUPT. I HATE HIM
He’s nice and we’ll all gain from him.. He is intelligent and can save the philippines from poverty. Good luck manny!=)
sana kpag c villar nanging pres. uhm sana wla ng mahirap! pag walng mahirap walang masasamang tao! agree? bkt b gmgwa ng msama dba sa khirapan! and maybe they should be more strict this time! Goodluck villar!
Just my two cents.
THE RESULTS OF THE POLL SHOWS THAT MANNY IS BEING HATED BY MANY….
and besides WLANG MAGNANAKAW ANG AAMIN SA KRIMEN NYA……….
tama ako RON diba?…
HINDI NA KAILANGAN NA PATUNAYAN KAHIT SIGURO BULAG MAKIKITA ANG GINAWA NYA MALIWANAG PA SA SIKAT NG ARAW,,,
UNPROFESSIONAL. magkatulad lang sila ni Noynoy. Nagsisiraan sa media.
Ganyan ba ang gusto niyong presidente?
Think twice.
GORDON na tayo!!!! subok na maaasahan!! hehe
Vote for Villar? No way in the world will I support a man who is so desperate and hungry for power that he’d use even his own mother (who must be a almost 90 years old) for an ad campaign. How low can you go? “Sa lahat ng naninira sa kanya, diyos na lang ang bahala sa kanila” Wow, I’d say the same thing to Villar…for using the poor people and amassing a great fortune out of deals that doesn’t look shady only because he is a master of covering things up. If Villar wins…may the next six years be quick and painless, just like Band-Aid being ripped off…because that’s what he does…rips people off.
NO TO VILLAR!!!
YES to VILLAR.
go Villar.
GO VILLAR!
VILLAR for SENATOR!!!
go sen. villar, i’ll vote for you…=)

ron, baka elitista ka rin?
Lahat po ng presidente na dumaan, all of them are elite, coming from rich family, but after there term. yon na! lalo silang yumaman. Poor filipino’s become poorer. It’s time to end the political dynasty who occupied by elite politician.

His campaign claims he has provided “200,000″ houses for the people. Of course, he didn’t say for free, he is a real estate mogul, his forte is mass housing, it should have saild SOLD “200,000″ houses to people.
I WILL NEVER EVER VOTE FOR THIS GUY!!!
NOT IN ANY ELECTORAL RACE!!!
He said he was one of the poor people in his early days.
Well, i believed him!!!
But look at the real thing and wake up people!!!
Do you think he can make each one of us a billionaire after the election? If he just used his campaign fund to build small houses, i think he can help around
10,000 homeless families or invest livelihood projects for the jobless.
The bottom line is, he learned how to make money out of the people. Then I’m sure he can make much more money when he have the power over the Philippines.
HE IS A THICK-SKINNED, COLD-BLOODED…
human being ba? He even used her own mother to cover him and to campaign for him.
He is clearly a corrupt politician!!!
What would he be more if he is then the President of the Philippines?
I heard Villar in one of the debates, and I have seen first hand how he deflects and avoids answering questions. He was the only presidentiable who was shifty eyed, seemed slow and seemed to be recovering from a hangover.
Those that don’t think he is a trapo, remember he is part of the trapos (Aguilar clan) in Las Pinas who have wielded power in that area for the longest time.
I remember being a pollwatcher in Las Pinas when he was running for congress and we got hold up in the City Hall of Las Pinas bec the goons of Aguilar were outside.
So he is not that innocent (just like Britney)
If I’m allowed to vote, Yes I will vote for someone who has a strong knowledge on doing a business. This is what the country need to boost the dying economy. Create employment, reduce poverty and crime. Let all the Pinoy work within the Phils. not outside the our country . Let our country use the knowledge gain in the Phils by the Filipinos, not allowing the other nations using this knowledge of Pinoy on their own country’s benefits.
Lets see whats gonna happen on the next century to the Phils.
In addition , ask yourself what need to be done on this country, ask yourself what you really what to happen to The Phils. going forward. When you find the right answers to this questions then go out and cast your vote, maybe your brain is fresh to decide what you really want to see and your heart is confident on your decidion then go out and vote.
So make up you mind guys, your vote will decide how you would like to see the Phils.& yourself in the next coming years or century. Please do not screwed up this time , you should learned your lesson from the past already by now… no questions asked.
Good luck Pilipinas kong Mahal.
Um… yes, he’s rich. And he has BIG ambitions for the Filipino. But I’ll have to say no. I don’t believe in candidates with BIG ambitions. He can’t finish what he’s planned in six years. Negosyante siya. Alam niya yan.
Sorry Sir, I did not ask anyone to vote for any particular candidates. I just site my view just in case I will vote. I will vote for someone who will boost the Philippines Economy… Period and anotehr period.
Take it or leave it is just my pure views and openions, you had to respect it whether you like it or not as much as I respect anybody’s views.
I love you concerned pinay. we need business minded head of state today, unless he or she wanted more richer but as i said a person who knows how to run a business, to be known where he or she engaged with, are the one have the right and capacity to manage the countrys dying economy. gud luck to all of us.
1)He is guilty of benefitting whether directly or indirectly from the C-5 road controversy…
2) He is buying his way to the presidency. He is using his Billions to become President of the Philippines. I think what he is doing is anti-democratic….like Erap he is running a platform that is supposed to be pro-poor but in the real world he is exploiting the poor people of the Philippines by dangling his wealth as a bait so he can get the votes that he needs to become President.
3)He is a liar!!!… When you are willing to spend billions of your own money in a campaign and you tell that people that you don’t intend to get it back when elected that is a bullshit!!!…. Noong naging Senate president ka you used your position to gain from a government project what more kung naging Presidente ka na!!!

The Filipinos will be worth dying POOR, kung si villar ang magiging presidente.
Sigurado babawiin nya lahat ng nilabas nya kasama pati tubo. Kwentado nya na yan in 6 years magkano ang kikitain nya.
Khit sino pa umupo jan corruption will not be out of sight at least Pres. Manny Villar will do his best para mapaunlad ang bansa natin. hnd lang xa puro salita tandaan mo yan. I will vote for President Manny Villar. We will support him Manalo Matalo.
and for all na hanggang dito ehh sinisiraan padin si President Manny Villar. Ipagpapadiyos ko nalang kayo. And for the Philippines. HOPE for VILLAR. for a `better change. Please open your eyes guys.
mr villar wag muna pilitin self u na manalo.marami u na money.
MANNY V, LUMANGOY KA NA LANG SA BASURA….. O BAKA SA PERA KA LUMALANGOY…. WAG NYO ITONG IBOTO KASI KASAMA NYA SINA OCAMPO, MAZA, HONTIVEROS, AT LOREN NA MGA NPA…….
Forget about his infamous jingle “hindi bawal pangarap ang mahirap.” We need actions for that anything else. Indeed, he’s got the “experience” compared to the other candidates, and though his leadership and intelligence might not be of any question, everyone should think and realize that sometimes those who have more wits than the rest are easy in getting away from it. if ya’ll know what i’m talking about.
I think Manny Villar will win for the next Senatorial election not for presidency. If he wanted to help the Filipino people just run for Senator next time, and he will probably won the battle. He is very helpful and enthusiastic, nothing compared to him from other Senators. But to vote for him for President? Hmmmp..I don’t want to waste my time to explain….
Villar – mayaman kana tumulong kana lang. Noynoy – tama na. Ang magulang mo good leaders but your still a begginer. You can improve more , but it needs time. Gibo – you are the guy, nothing compares to you. Jamby – forest needs you.
Bro Eddie – light the path of the citizens, but you see You didnt fit to the position like I said to noynoy it needs time and more experience. To others – good luck.
