Joseph Erap Estrada was elected President in 1998 with a wide margin of votes separating him from the other challengers, and was sworn into the presidency on June 30, 1998. However, allegations of corruption spawned an impeachment trial in the Senate, and in 2001 Joseph Erap Estrada was ousted from power after the trial was aborted. In 2007, Joseph Erap Estrada was found guilty of plunder and sentenced to reclusion perpetua, but was later granted a pardon by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Ang mga nagbabayad po ng TAX ang dapat na may karapatan na mamili na manunungkulan sa ating bayan,. Pacensya nap o kung may mga nasabi ako di maganda dito to po ay aking mga pananaw lamang.
Since the EDSA2 gang grabbed power from the peoples choice and bungled the Constitution in 2001 and the hello Garci tape in 2004, RP had an illegitimate President and the Constitutional clock had stopped as one of the best lawer had said. Only through the resumption of Erap into the Presidency our Constitutional clock will resume. dedication, Magnanimity, Openness, creativity, fairness,
and most specially assertiveness.
Assertiveness is not the same as aggressiveness.
Rather, it is the ability to clearly state what one
expects so that there will be no misunderstandings.
Along with assertiveness comes the responsibility
to clearly understand what the people expect from
their leader. So the question I would like to leave is ~
“Does HE have all of these qualities???”
“Is he worth our life?”

i am so sad about those who commented against erap…the way they speak, words they used reflects who are they…i was then for villar, and then for gordon but now i am voluntarily campaigning for erap because i have thoroughly studied people who asked erap’s forgiveness for the mistake they have done against him….a former lady president, a catholic bishop, former cabinet members and in fact the latest was able to confess before the public that he was used only by the civil society who are now backing up 2 among those alleged opposition presidentiables….yasay humbled himself and i salute him for that confession he did before the public…erap was teary eyed when he accepted the apology…it was not easy to accept what had happened to erap yet he showed his soft heart for those who remorse…it is not easy for public figures to admit mistake before the public but they did because truth will always prevail….our clan will go for erap and we will become his volunteers…

I definitely will not vote for him and I just do hope that with everything that our country is going through, people would be wise enough to vote for someone who could bring about positive changes in our country —someone who has a vision for the Filipino people. Being a president of a country is more than just having pictures of himself taken with the poor people. If you are one of those people considering to vote for him: please think again.
Seeing him run for the presidential seat makes me think that almost just anyone can run for President in the Philippines. Are there any qualifications at all?!
